Crass commercialism

I present to you the Northwest Flying Photography Calendar.

Oooooo Perty.

Happy Darwin Day!

200 years since his birth
150 years since the publication of “The Origin of Species”

Not only is it pretty, it also tells you what day it is.

I’m still going through all the pix for my 12 month calender, but it’s coming. If enough of you buy one, I’ll be able to get one for myself. :)

P.S. Taken in late 08, this is a highly polished P-51. It look like a black and white photo, but is actually full color. The lighting conditions and the clouds made for a great reflection.

This season’s schedule

The airshow season is fast approaching, and I have taken the time to delve the various websites and compile a list of show that I stand a fairly good chance of attending. Or at lease the airshows I would like to attend and are within reasonable driving distance.

25-Apr                   Skagit Tulip Fly-In and Airshow                       KBVS
20-26 May            EAA – B-17 Tour Stop                                           KBFI
20-21 Jun             Olympic Air Show                                                   KOLM
20-Jun                   American Heroes Air Show                                KBFI
8-12 Jul                 NW-EAA Fly-in                                                        KAWO
24-26 Jul              North Cascades Antique Airplane Fly-In     3W5
27-Jul, 2-Aug     EAA AirVenture                                                      KOSH
31-Jul,2-Aug       Seafair                                                                          KBFI
7-9 Aug                 Abbotsford International Air Show                CYXX
14-16 Aug             NWAAC Fly-in                                                          KVUO
29-30 Aug            Oregon International Air Show                         KHIO

I’ll likely not be able to go to Airventure, and Abbotsford is a long drive (unless you of you want to fly me?) but I should be able to hit all the others. If the Lovely Wife doesn’t mind me spending all the weekends looking at airplanes.

EDIT: &*^$&^%) That was all lined up in the edit screen!
