Of particular interest to folks of the photographic persuasion is this article in the Washington Post about Kodak’s new digital filter technology.
According to the article, the new tech should increase light sensitivity by at least double that of current sensors.
The new technology makes CCD and CMOS image sensors more sensitive to light. That means sharp pictures, even in low-light environments.

That translates to one or two photographic aperture stops, meaning photographers can expect better performance and reduced motion blur when taking pictures in low lighting.
I already want one.
